What is 1DAY4DU Day of Giving?
1DAY4DU provides an opportunity for DU alumni, parents, students, and friends to join forces for 24 hours to celebrate and support the school we all love. Join the celebration on Thursday, May 18 by making a gift in support of one or more of the projects that inspires you. The goal for the day is 3,000 donors.

I already made my gift this fiscal year (July 1, 2022-now). If I give on 1DAY4DU Day, do I count?
Yes! We are grateful for your earlier support this fiscal year and appreciate your additional support on May 18 to be a part of 1DAY4DU.
If I make more than one gift on May 18, do I count more than once in our donor totals?
While we appreciate your enthusiasm, each individual only counts once in our donor totals! That being said, the more gifts you make, the more impact you have, so do what sparks your heart. After you make your gift the next best thing you can do is spread the word to friends, family and colleagues.

Can I mail in my gift or make a gift of stock?
In order to be counted in our “live” totals, we ask for a minimum participatory gift (at least $5). We realize that mail or stock might be the best option for you. If you mail in your 1DAY4DU gift, your support will still count toward the totals for the year. Please email giftinfo@du.edu or call 303-871-2311 with any questions.
What is my 1DAY4DU gift supporting?
1DAY4DU offers more than 20 projects that will focus on academic priorities, student support, research and the public good. As a donor, you will have the opportunity to choose which project or a multitude of other funds that most interest you and learn about the potential impact your donation will have.
Who counts in the donor totals?
1DAY4DU is all about the collective DU community. Alumni, parents, faculty, staff, friends, and students (our future alumni!) are encouraged to join us and participate in this community-wide event.
Can community members outside of the U.S. make a gift?
Yes! We encourage everyone in our global community to join us. All supporters, no matter their location, will be able to submit their gift through GiveCampus – 1DAY4DU. Please be sure that the zip code that you enter matches your credit card’s billing address.
Is my giving day contribution Tax-Deductible?
Yes. Your gift will be entirely tax-deductible through GiveCampus – 1DAY4DU. Donors will receive an email confirmation after submitting their donation and will then receive a receipt for tax purposes through the mail.
I want to help spread the word about 1DAY4DU. How can I help?
Step 1: Create an account on GiveCampus – 1DAY4DU or login using your Facebook account.
Step 2: Make a gift on the day (May 18). Save your personal giving link, which will populate after you complete the giving form.
Step 3: Use the Advocate tools on this site and your personal giving link to spread the word and encourage your classmates, friends and family to support 1DAY4DU. Remember to use #1DAY4DU when you share on Facebook and Instagram.
Step 4: Use GiveCampus to record your own personal plea (video message) and set up any challenges for your fellow DU community members.
Step 5: Follow @DUAlums on Facebook and @DUAlumni on Instagram for updates on and leading up to the day. Make sure to check back on GiveCampus – 1DAY4DU throughout the day and see how many clicks and gifts are being made through your personal link!
